The ACLU and Lamba Legal are promoting this as a clear win, but it’s anything but. Instead of the judge putting a full injunction on the enforcement of this law, trans people are now only protected using multiperson bathrooms IF they first verify a single person bathroom doesn’t exist. Imagine you have to pee in an airport! Good luck finding that one family bathroom. And this only makes enforcement murkier. Direct quote from Erin in the Morning: “A transgender person in Idaho reading this coverage could reasonably believe the law has been fully blocked—and could face criminal charges for acting on that belief.”
